The firm was established to help Canadian businesses reach customers in markets that were geographically distant but commercially open: China, India, Pakistan, the Gulf, Turkey, East Africa, Southeast Asia, Western Europe.
Over two decades, GMC built campaigns and trade-fair presence for tourism boards, manufacturing exporters, government immigration programs, aviation and education clients. The work was always the same shape: take a Canadian organization with something the world wants, and find the right channel to reach the people who want it.
The relationships built across those twenty years — counterparties, distributors, government contacts, trade-fair organizers, end-buyers — are the foundation that GMC Trading Group's commodities trading desk now sources counterparties from. We didn't pivot the business. We extended it.
